Patricia J. Gleason

Patricia Jo Gleason, age 61 of North Platte, passed away Saturday June 23, 2012 at GPRMC.

Pat was born July 9, 1950 to Gerald and LaVelle Gleason in North Platte. She graduated from NP St. Pat’s in 1968. After graduation she went to Grand Island to beauty school then came back to North Platte where she worked as a beautician. Over the years Pat also worked at a nursing home, and at Holy Spirit and St. Patrick’s Catholic churches and at NP Catholic Schools. She was an active parishioner at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a member of AA and ALANON. Patricia enjoyed playing the guitar, dancing and music. She loved children, especially the neighborhood kids, her nieces and nephews. She was a prayer warrior for everyone around her. She was always a very generous person; she did much volunteer work at her church.

Pat is survived by 2 sisters, Mary Jean (Glen Frailey) Schirmer of Newark, TX and Geraldine “Geri” Reeder of North Platte; nieces and nephews, Penny (Don) Folbre, Donna and Glen Jr. Frailey, Julie Patterson and Norma Roberts, Christopher Ray Coleman, Marcy (Mark) Tilford, Chad (Mikki Cerny) and Vicki Gleason, Sherry (Kent) Steele, Charles (Maggie) Gleason, Katie (Paul) Thomas, Laura Gleason; many great nieces and nephews including, Amber and Amanda Sexton, Andy, Jason, Holly and Russell Folbre, Christina Tilford, Crystal and Tylor Gleason, Stefanie and Brandon Goodall, Derek and Tiffany Benoist, Madison and Calliope Steele, Christopher Gleason and Sadie Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers Bill and George; sister in law Shirley Gleason; and special father figure, Marvin Reeder.

A memorial has been established in her name and online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com. Christian Wake service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10.00 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Reverend James Golka officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Caroline Anne Fisher

Caroline Anne Fisher, age 59 of North Platte, passed away June 24, 2012 at her home. She was born February 20, 1953 in North Platte to Keith and Anna Melton.

Caroline worked many places over the years including Custom Craft Signs, Laramie Tires, Sears, and the Gerald Gentleman Power Plant. She retired in 1997.

On September 10, 2010 she married Ira Fisher in North Platte. She enjoyed playing guitar with a small band around the area. She loved her grandchildren, her cat “Banshee”, and her dog “Gabby”.

Survivors include her husband Ira of North Platte; a daughter Elizabeth of North Platte; 6 grandchildren; a sister Kim; 4 brothers Roland, Rick, Keith and Allen; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Johnnie Miller.

A memorial has been established in her name and online condolences may be made at www.adamsswanson.com.

Visitation will be today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation. There will be no Memorial Service. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
