Rockies Open Homestand With First Of Three Against Phillies (TONIGHT on ESPN 1410 AM)

The Colorado Rockies return home tonight to begin a seven-game homestand with a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. It’s the second time this season the Rockies have seen the team with the National League’s best record. The teams split a pair of games in mid-May. The Rockies are fresh off a nine-game road trip out west that saw them go 4-5, including their fifteenth straight Sunday loss yesterday in San Diego. They sit 10 games out of first place in the National League West. The Rockies start Jhoulys Chacin on the mound tonight. Chacin is 0-4 in his last six starts after starting the season 8-4. The Phillies, leaders in the NL East by 6 games, start southpaw Cole Hamels, who is 12-6 on the year. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action from Coors Field tonight, with pregame coverage at 7:05 and the first pitch at 7:40.
