The Colorado Rockies hope to rebound from a crushing extra innings loss last night in the second game of their three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies at Coors Field. The Rockies led 3-1 with two outs in the ninth inning before John Mayberry’s pinch-hit home run tied the score. Shane Victorino’s solo homer in the 10th doomed the Rockies to their sixth loss in seven extra-inning games this season. Tonight, Aaron Cook gets the start for the Rockies on the mound. After losing his first five decisions, Cook has won his last two outings, and hurled seven shutout innings in Los Angeles in his last start. He’ll be opposed by Philadelphia’s Kyle Kendrick. Kendrick has a 6.35 ERA in his career at Coors Field. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action from Denver tonight. Pregame coverage starts at 7:05 and the first pitch is set for 7:40.
