Rockies Swept Away By Phillies

The Colorado Rockies suffered their first home sweep of the season after an 8-6 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies yesterday afternoon at Coors Field. The Rockies led 2-1 after the first inning, but a four-run second inning for the Phillies gave them the lead for good. Offensively, the Rockies touched up reigning Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay for five runs on eight hits in seven innings, but Halladay still earned the win. Every Rockies starter had a hit, including Todd Helton, who hit his 12th home run of the season and drove in three runs. The Rockies have lost four straight games. They’ll look to stop the streak in opening a four-game home series against the Washington Nationals tonight. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action with pregame coverage at 7:05 and the first pitch at 7:40.
