The Colorado Rockies hope to end a four game losing streak tonight as they welcome the Washington Nationals to Denver for the start of a four-game series. The Rockies lost 8-6 to the Philadelphia Phillies yesterday afternoon, completing a three-game sweep for the Phillies. It’s the first time the Rockies have been swept at home this season. Tonight the Rockies will give the start on the bump to Esmil Rogers. Rogers is taking Ubaldo Jimenez’s place in the rotation. He threw five strong innings in relief after Jimenez was traded to Cleveland mid-game last Saturday in San Diego. Starting on the mound for Washington is lefty Ross Detwiler.
