Broncos Lose Thomas For Preseason, May Lose Warren For Whole Season

The Denver Broncos are dealing with bad injury news at the defensive tackle position. Ty Warren, the team’s marquee free agent acquisition this offseason, has a torn triceps and could miss the entire 2011 season. The team is weighing its options on how to proceed with Warren, who missed all of last season with a hip injury while a member of the New England Patriots. Warren signed a two-year, eight million dollar contract with the Broncos this offseason. The other projected starting defensive tackle for the Broncos, Marcus Thomas, is also injured. Thomas has a strained pectoral muscle that will keep him out for the remainder of the preseason. Kevin Vickerson and Broderick Bunkley will start in the absence of Warren and Thomas. The Broncos today also released veteran running back Lendale White.
