Big Ten women’s soccer coaches released their preseason poll yesterday, and the Nebraska women are picked to finish seventh out of the twelve teams in their first season in the conference. The Husker women won three regular-season conference titles and five conference tournament titles in their 15 seasons in the Big 12. They finished 13-7-1 last season. Penn State, who has won at least a share of the Big Ten crown in each of the last 13 seasons, was picked to finish first by the coaches, with Ohio State picked second and Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan rounding out the top five. Husker junior forward Morgan Marlborough was named to the Herrman Trophy watch list yesterday. She finished with 18 goals, 48 points and 2.29 points per game last season, all of which ranked her in the top five in the nation.
