Autopsy complete on Real Housewives Star

The autopsy for Real Housewives husband Russell Armstrong has been completed, and unsurprisingly, the L.A. County Coroner says the cause of death was suicide by hanging.

Toxicology results, however, are still pending. TMZ reports that no drugs or alcohol were found in the bedroom where Taylor Armstrong’s husband was found dead Monday night.

Forget “Snakes On a Plane”! Gerard Depardieu takes a LEAK on a plane

French actor Gerard Depardieu reportedly took a wee-wee in the aisle of a plane before it took off Tuesday.

According to a passenger, the Green Card star appeared to have been drinking and said he needed to go to the restroom. He was told to wait until after takeoff, but to the astonishment of all, he just stood up and began urinating.

Gerard was reportedly escorted off the Paris-to-Dublin flight — which was delayed for two hours for cleanup.

Death threat made against Letterman on Al-Qaida website

David Letterman has been targeted by an extremist website frequented by al-Qaida.

The site reportedly urged its followers to “cut the tongue” of the late-night host because of a joke he made about accused terrorist leader Ilyas Kashmiri, who was killed by a U.S. airstrike in Pakistan in June.

The FBI is looking into the threat. Jim Margolin, spokesman for the bureau’s New York office, says, “We take every potential threat seriously.”

Sitch asked to Ditch Fitch

Abercrombie and Fitch wants The Situation to strip!

The company has offered to pay the Jersey Shore star NOT to wear its clothes, claiming his bad-boy image “could cause significant damage” to the brand’s “aspirational nature.” Abercrombie has also extended the offer to the rest of the cast.

It seems to be a publicity stunt since the company once sold T-shirts that read “The Fitchuation.” But it didn’t help their bottom line yesterday. After making the Situation announcement, Abercrombie stock plummeted almost nine-percent.

Broncos claim DT Pressley off waivers

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) – The Denver Broncos have claimed DeMario Pressley off waivers to bolster their depleted defensive line. Earlier in the week, the Broncos lost Marcus Thomas (strained pectoral) and Ty Warren (torn triceps) for an indefinite amount of time. The 6-foot-3, 301-pound Pressley became available when he was released by Indianapolis. Pressley is a fourth-year player out of North Carolina State. He appeared in one game for Houston last season. With the injuries to Thomas and Warren, Brodrick Bunkley and Kevin Vickerson will receive a majority of the reps. It also opens up an opportunity for other defensive tackles such as Ryan McBean, Mitch Unrein, Ronnell Brown and now Pressley. Jeremy Jarmon, who’s typically a defensive end, is moving inside to create more depth at the position.

Nebraska’s Dennard out with pulled leg muscle

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Nebraska cornerback Alfonzo Dennard is out indefinitely with a pulled leg muscle. Coach Bo Pelini announced Dennard’s injury after Wednesday’s practice.  Pelini didn’t say when the injury occurred. Dennard is the most experienced member of the Cornhuskers’ secondary. He was a first-team All-Big 12 selection last season despite being overshadowed by New York Giants first-round draft pick Prince Amukamara. The 5-foot-10, 205-pound senior from Rochelle, Georgia, is one of the nation’s top returning corners after intercepting four passes and breaking up seven others last season.

Gonzalez, Rockies pound Marlins in 12-5 win

DENVER (AP) – Aaron Cook pitched effectively into the eighth inning and Carlos Gonzalez’ three-run homer highlighted a powerful offensive display that sent the Colorado Rockies to a 12-5 victory over the Florida Marlins on Wednesday night. The Rockies, who had struggled to provide Cook with run support in past outings, batted around twice in beating Ricky Nolasco for the first time in six tries. Chris Iannetta also provided much of the offensive pop, hitting a double and a single to drive in four runs. Gonzalez, who also had a run-scoring single, also finished with four RBIs. Nolasco (9-9) came in sporting a 5-0 record in his five previous starts against the Rockies, including going 3-0 with a 1.64 era in his three prior starts at Coors Field.

Lincoln County Jail adopts 2 cats for inmates

Lincoln County Jail

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) – Cats adopted from the local animal shelter are soothing inmates at the Lincoln County Jail in North Platte. Some inmates had been volunteering time at the shelter, cleaning cages and floors, walking dogs and giving them baths.
Sheriff Jerome Kramer says he wondered if having a couple of cats at the jail would help inmates pass the time and lower tensions. He says studies show that pets can help relieve stress. The cats have been a hit. Kramer says the inmates eagerly await their turns to take care of the two declawed, neutered males, Nemo and Sarge.
