The Colorado Rockies salvaged a split in their two-game road series against the Milwaukee Brewers with a 6-2 victory last night at Miller Park. Carlos Gonzalez belted a two-run homer, his 26th of the season, to break a 1-1 tie in the third inning and give the Rockies the lead for good. Wilin Rosario added a solo homer, the second of his big league career, in the fourth innings to contribute to the winning effort. On the mound, veteran Kevin Millwood won his third game of the season with six strong innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out two. Four relievers combined for three shutout frams to close the game out. The Rockies return home for their final homestand of the season tonight, opening a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants. First pitch is set for 7:40.
