Rockies Swept By Giants, Open Final Home Series Tonight (ON ESPN Radio 1410)

The Colorado Rockies continue to limp to the finish line. The Rockies were battered by the San Francisco Giants 12-5 at Coors Field yesterday, wrapping up a four-game sweep for the visitors. Pablo Sandoval hit two of San Francisco’s five home runs in the game, four of which were hit off of Rockies starting pitcher Esmil Rogers, who failed to make it out of the fourth inning. Giants pitcher Matt Cain even went deep off Rogers, and worked five innings for the win. Ty Wigginton and Seth Smith had two hits and an RBI each, and Chris Iannetta and Eric Young Jr. also drove in runs for the Rockies in the losing effort. The Rockies open their final home series of the season tonight as the San Diego Padres come to town. ESPN Radio 1410 has all the action, with pregame coverage at 7:05 and first pitch at 7:40.
