A Nebraska defense hoping for the return of one of their most important players now must wait and see if their best player will be available for Saturday. Jared Crick sat out practice yesterday with an undisclosed injury, and defensive coordinator Carl Pelini says his star defensive tackle is day-to-day, but he hopes he will be able to play Sunday. The news relating to cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was more encouraging. Pelini said that Dennard, who has missed the first three games with an quadriceps injury, is close to making his 2011 debut when the Huskers visit Wyoming this Saturday. Pelini also got an addition to his secondary, as wide receiver Stanley Jean-Baptiste, a sophomore, has moved to cornerback. Jean-Baptiste played safety in high school and intercepted six passes his senior season.
