Broncos Place Leading Receiver Lloyd On Trading Block

The Denver Broncos have already made a change at quarterback. Now they may be looking at shipping out their leading receiver. The Denver Post reported yesterday that the Broncos are in trade talks regarding Brandon Lloyd, and looking to receive a third to fifth round pick in return. Lloyd made the Pro Bowl last year after leading the NFL in receiving yards. He has battled a groin injury this year, but has caught 19 passes for a team high 283 yards and one touchdown in the four games he has played. With Eddie Royal and Demaryius Thomas set to come back from injury, there is a log jam at the receiver position that would be cleared up with a trade. The Broncos are off this week, with their next game in Miami against the winless Dolphins next Sunday. The NFL’s trade deadline is Tuesday.
