Husker Volleyball Rolls To 8-0 In Big Ten

The fifth-ranked Nebraska volleyball team continues to steamroll through their inaugural Big Ten season, picking up two road victories over the weekend. On Friday night the Huskers ripped Wisconsin in three straight sets, 25-21, 25-15, 25-21. Hannah Werth led the way in the win with a double-double, hammering seventeen kills and collecting ten digs. Gina Mancuso added eleven kills for the Huskers. On Saturday night, the Huskers were pushed to the brink by 14th-ranked Minnesota, but rallied for a five set victory, 28-30, 19-25, 25-10, 25-12, 15-11. Mancuso and Werth both recorded double-doubles. Mancuso led the team with 18 kills and had 15 digs, and Werth racked up 15 kills and 17 digs. The Huskers are now 15-1, and 8-0 in Big Ten play. They host Iowa on Wednesday.
