Huskers Begin Preparations For Gophers

It’s back to work for the thirteenth-ranked Nebraska football team, who get back to game-week preparations after their bye. The Huskers hit the road this Saturday to face Minnesota, a team off to a 1-5 start. The Golden Gophers have lost their last two games by a combined score of 103-17, but that doesn’t mean the Huskers will take them lightly. Huskers defensive coordinator Carl Pelini says the Gopher offense should look familiar to his team’s veterans. “It’s similar to a lot of Big 12 offenses that we’ve faced. A lot of zone read quarterback run game; a very imaginative offense,” Pelini said. “They have a real athletic quarterback and good speed in the skill positions. They’ll challenge us in a lot of different ways. It’s kind of a change of pace for us as we move to the Big Ten schedule.” Kickoff in Minneapolis is set for 2:30 on Saturday.
