Husker Volleyball Crushes Hawkeyes, Wins Tenth Straight

The fourth-ranked Husker volleyball team keeps on rolling through the Big Ten Conference. The Huskers had an easy time with Iowa last night at the NU Coliseum, sweeping the Hawkeyes 25-14, 25-14, and 25-11. Gina Mancuso’s 14 kills led the Husker attack. Hannah Werth contributed eight kills and 15 digs, and middle blockers Hayley Thramer and Morgan Broekhuis had five stuff blocks apiece. The Huskers held the Hawkeyes to an astonishing .000 hitting percentage, the lowest the Huskers have allowed this season. The victory is Nebraska’s tenth straight, and their ninth in conference play against zero defeats. It also makes the Huskers 13-0 all time against the Hawkeyes. The toughest test of the season for the Huskers comes their way Saturday night in Lincoln as they host number one Illinois.
