NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (North Platte Post)- A traffic stop on I-80 near North Platte last Friday morning turned up over $90,000. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the vehicle had been pulled over for speeding and was acting suspicious, prompting a search for contraband. The driver alerted the deputy that the money was in a locked, double-vacuum sealed metal box. $90,040 in U.S. money was found inside. The driver could not provide proof of ownership nor details as to how he got the money, but did not have any other contraband in the vehicle.
