Broncos Run Over Raiders

Argue with the performance all you want, but the results were there for Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos in a 34-24 win over the Oakland Raiders in Oakland yesterday. Tebow completed fewer than 50 percent of his passes for the third straight game, hitting on 10 of 21 attempts, but two of those completions went for touchdowns. Tebow and the Broncos were more dangerous on the ground. Tebow rushed for 117 yards and Willis McGahee added 163 yards and two scores as the Broncos shredded the Raiders in coming back from a 24-14 second-half deficit. The Broncos compiled 298 rushing yards as a team, at a 7.8 yards per carry clip. The Broncos are 2-1 in Tebow’s starts and 3-5 on the season, and stand one game out of first place in the AFC West. They travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.
