Huskers Put Distractions Aside, Prep For Penn State

The child sexual abuse scandal surrounding Penn State University and the subsequent firing of legendary head coach Joe Paterno has cast a black cloud over Nebraska’s visit to State College tomorrow afternoon to play the Nittany Lions. But to hear Husker head coach Bo Pelini tell it, the sad and bizarre events of the past week should have no effect on the way his team plays. Pelini said that the Huskers will have defensive tackle Chase Rome and offensive tackle Yoshi Hardrick at full strength after injury concerns from this past week. The Huskers and Nittany Lions kick off tomorrow at Beaver Stadium at 11 AM.
