The losing ways of the Tri-City Storm continue, and their seventh straight defeat was surely the most painful. The Storm allowed two power-play goals in the final minute and lost to the Lincoln Stars 6-5 at the Viaero Events Center in Kearney last night. JD Peterson’s goal at four minutes of the third period gave the Storm a 5-3 lead, but the Stars got back within a goal with just over three and a half minutes to play. In the final minute after a Storm penalty, the Stars scored with 46 seconds left to tie the game, and then Teemu Tiitanen’s goal with four seconds left gave the Stars a stunning come-from-behind victory. Soren Jonzzon was the offensive catalyst for Tri-City, assisting on four of his team’s five goals. The Storm play road contests at Muskegon this Friday night and at the Team USA Selects on Saturday.
