Western Nebraska police chief resigns

Former Hemingford Police Chief Mark Lindburg

HEMINGFORD, Neb. (AP) – Hemingford Police Chief Mark Lindburg has resigned, leaving the town with just one officer.
Eagle Radio station KQSK reports that the village board accepted Lindburg’s resignation earlier this week. No reason was given for Lindburg’s resignation.
Hemingford’s remaining officer, Forrest Hickman, has been given approval to use part-time help as needed until a new chief is hired.
