The Nebraska volleyball team cruised past Jackson State in three sets in their first-round NCAA Tournament match last night at the NU Coliseum. The Huskers swept the Tigers 25-10, 25-16, and 25-13. Gina Mancuso and Brooke Delano had ten kills apiece to lead the Huskers attack. Morgan Broekhuis chipped in nine kills, and Hannah Werth added seven. The victory moves the Huskers to 25-4 on the season and advances them to a second-round matchup tonight against Kansas State. The Wildcats swept Wichita State, 25-18, 25-22, and 25-17 in Lincoln to earn the matchup with their former Big 12 Conference foes. The Huskers and Wildcats play at 7 PM tonight. The winner moves on to Honolulu for the West Regional semifinal against either North Carolina or Pepperdine.
