The Denver Broncos are dealing with serious injury concerns in their secondary, bad news as they head into a showdown with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Safety Brian Dawkins and cornerback Andre Goodman each sat out practice yesterday; Dawkins with a neck injury and Goodman with a concussion. Both players suffered injuries last week in Denver’s 13-10 overtime victory over the Chicago Bears. Reserve safety David Bruton also sat out practice. There was good injury news on the offensive side of the ball; receiver Eddie Royal, who missed last Sunday’s game because of a concussion, was back on the practice field. The Broncos, winners of six in a row and seven of their last eight, host the Patriots at Sports Authority Field Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3:15.
