Husker Men Hold Off Central Michigan

The Nebraska men’s basketball team’s fourth straight win did not come easily. The Huskers knocked off a stubborn Central Michigan squad 72-69 at the Devaney Center last night. Nebraska hit seven of their eight free throws down the stretch to hold off the Chippewas, who trimmed a 12-point Husker lead down to three in the final seconds. All five Husker starters scored in double figures, with Brandon Richardson and Bo Spencer leading the way with 15 points apiece. Brandon Ubel, Caleb Walker and Toney McCray each scored 11 points. McCray led the team with eight rebounds, while Spencer handed out a game-high nine assists. Nebraska wraps up their non-conference play with a 8-3 record. They return to action next Tuesday night in their first ever Big Ten game, hosting Wisconsin.
