Husker Women Lose Second Straight

The 20th-ranked Nebraska women’s basketball team has gone from a nine-game winning streak to a two-game losing streak, after losing at 10th-ranked Ohio State 82-68 last night. The Huskers shot just 33 percent from the field, and were unable to slow the Buckeyes, who connected on 53 percent of their field goal attempts. Emily Cady led the Huskers with a career-high 24 points. Jordan Hooper contributed 19 points and 14 rebounds, racking up her eighth double-double of the season. Lindsay Moore also scored in double figures with 13 points. The Huskers drop to 4-2 in Big Ten play and 15-3 on the season after suffering their first Big Ten road loss. They are back on their home court to start a two-game homestand on Sunday night, when the Minnesota Golden Gophers come to town.
