A Haunting in North Platte

A team of paranormal investigators were at the North Platte Community Playhouse on Saturday night, and the spirits did not disappoint. The team arrived at approximately 8:30pm, with an impressive collection of equipment used for detecting possible paranormal activity. This included Digital Recorders, Infrared Cameras, Laser Grids and much more. During the intitial set-up, we clearly heard footsteps in the ceiling of the auditorium, so the investigation started earlier than we planned. With all the lights in the auditorium turned off, we began asking question of the potentil spirits, such as “Why are you here,” “how many of you are here.” We asked that a K2 meter, which measure electromagnetic fields, be used to respond to our questions by lighting up lights on the meter. Amazingly, on several occasions, the meter peaked in response to our questions. We continued to ask quesions that would evoke a response, and to our amazement, we were not let down. At one point, we asked that the spirit or spirits give us a sure sign of their presence by moving something on the stage. Shortly after this, we heard what sounded like a chair being moved. Simply unbelievable!

While I can’t say that I’m 100% sure that there are spirits at the NPCP, I can say that there were definitely some occurences that made you think we may not be alone.

The T.R.I.P team will spend the next week reviewing the hours of audio and video evidence from the investigation. They plan on returning to North Platte in a few weeks to present their finding. This will be open to the public.

One thing I am sure of though. If there are spirits at the NPCP, they are not dangerous and have no desire to cause harm to anyone.
