No. 13 Husker Women Off the Mark, Lose to Michigan

The 13th-ranked Nebraska women’s basketball team picked a bad night to impersonate their male counterparts offensively. The Huskers missed 26 of 30 shots in the first half and fell behind by as many as 27 points in a 63-52 loss to Michigan at the Devaney Center last night. Nebraska missed 17 straight shots during one fourteen minute span in the first half, allowing the Wolverines to go on a 28-5 run that gave them a 20-point lead at the break. But the Huskers showed some fight in the second half, clawing to within eight points in the final two minutes before succumbing to defeat. Lindsey Moore led the Huskers with a game-high 23 points. Jordan Hooper added 14 points and led the team with eight rebounds. The Huskers fall to 19-4 and 8-3 in the Big Ten. They play at Minnesota on Monday night.
