Husker Women Lose at Minnesota, Drop Second Straight

The 16th-ranked Nebraska women’s basketball team has hit their first significant skid of the season. The Huskers dropped their second straight Big Ten game, falling to Minnesota 64-58 in Minneapolis last night. It’s only the second time all season that the Huskers have lost consecutive games. Minnesota built a 16-point second half lead, but the Huskers stormed all the way back and tied the game at 58 with just over three minutes to play. Nebraska had multiple opportunities to take the lead, but couldn’t, and Minnesota scored the game’s final six points in the final minute to seal the victory. Jordan Hooper scored 20 points, 16 of which came in the second half, to lead the Huskers in the defeat. Nebraska drops to 19-5 and 8-4 in the Big Ten with the loss. They host Northwestern on Thursday night.
