The Tri-City Storm saw their three game winning streak snapped with a 6-3 loss to the Lincoln Stars in Lincoln last night. The Storm had beaten the Stars 8-3 in Kearney on Saturday, but fell behind 2-0 in this game before Brad Schierhorn’s sixth goal of the season got them on the board in the second period. The Stars scored the game’s next two goals to take a commanding 4-1 lead, but the Storm had a rally in them in the third period. Heikki Liedes lit the lamp for his tenth goal at the 5:51 mark of the third, and Nick Lappin potted his team-leading 20th goal of the season less than three minutes later to draw the Storm to within a goal. But Lincoln’s Kevin Roy, the USHL’s leading scorer, scored his second and third goals of the game to put the Storm away. The Storm are back home Friday night to take on Sioux Falls.
