The Colorado Rockies lost to the San Francisco Giants 8-6 in Cactus League action in Scottsdale, Arizona yesterday. The Rockies offense pummeled Giants starting pitcher Tim Lincecum, touching up the two-time Cy Young Award winner for five runs on seven hits in the first two innings. Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki, and Michael Cuddyer each had two hits, with the latter driving in three runs. Charlie Blackmon hit a solo home run to lead off the game. On the mound for the Rockies, starting pitcher Jeremy Guthrie allowed two runs on five hits in his two innings of work. Forty-nine year old lefty Jamie Moyer, bidding to continue his career, pitched two scoreless innings in relief. The Rockies drop to 1-2-1 in Cactus League play. They face the Kansas City Royals this afternoon.
