A Nebraska Panhandle man who pleaded no contest to charges that he sexually assaulted two girls over nearly
eight years has been sentenced to more than 50 years in prison.
53-year-old Alejandro Saucedo, of Morrill, was sentenced last week. He was given 25 to 50 years for first-degree sexual assault of a minor and five years for third-degree sexual assault of a child. The sentences are to be served consecutively.

Authorities say one of the girls was 9 when the assaults began in 2003. The girls are teenagers now. Saucedo is required to register with the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry.
