The Nebraska baseball team won just two conference series in their final season in the Big 12 last year. They’re already one-for-one in Big Ten Conference weekend series, and open their bid for two-for-two today in Evanston, Illinois, in game one of their three-game set with Northwestern. Nebraska’s first conference road trip of the season takes them to visit a Wildcat team that will be playing their first home games of the season. They have compiled an 8-14 record on the campaign thus far. On the flip side, the Huskers just went 12-5 on a 17-game homestand to improve their record to 18-9. The Huskers will send Tom Lemke to the mound for the lidlifter today. Jon Keller and lefty Zach Hirsch will follow in Darin Erstad’s pitching rotation. First pitch this afternoon is scheduled for 3 PM.
