Tri-City Storm defenseman JD Peterson announced his commitment to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks yesterday, becoming the eleventh Storm player committed to a Division I school. Peterson is in his second season in the USHL and first with the Storm. In 55 games this season, the Orange, California native has two goals and 12 assists. The playoff-bound Storm wrap up their regular season with games in Waterloo Friday and Sioux Falls Saturday.
