For the second time in three days, a dramatic late rally fell short for the Colorado Rockies, as they fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-6 at Coors Field. Rockies starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin allowed the first four batters of the game to score and allowed seven runs total to put the Rockies behind 7-0 after four and a half innings. But the Rockies clawed back, starting with a two-run homer by Carlos Gonzalez in the sixth. Tyler Colvin added a two-run shot as part of a three-run seventh, and a Todd Helton sac fly in the eighth made it a one-run game, but Gonzalez struck out with the tying run on third to end the game. The Rockies and Dodgers play the rubber game of their three-game series in Denver this afternoon. ESPN Radio 1410 has all the action, with pregame coverage starting at 1:30 and the first pitch at 2:10.
