Rockies Swept For Eighth Loss in Nine (LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT on ESPN Radio 1410)

The Colorado Rockies don’t love LA. They stumbled into Dodger Stadium for a weekend series and left Chavez Ravine even worse for wear, after the Dodgers routed them 11-5 to complete a three-game sweep. The Rockies jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but it all got away from starting pitcher Alex White in the fifth inning, when he surrendered three runs and the lead and gave way to reliever Matt Reynolds, who promptly gave up three more runs to put the game out of reach. Carlos Gonzalez drove in a pair of runs for the Rockies in the losing effort. The Rox have now lost eight of their last nine games, including five of six on their road trip which continues tonight with the first of two games in San Francisco against the Giants. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action with pregame coverage at 8:30 and first pitch at 9:15.
