Tim Miles hasn’t yet been the head coach of Nebraska’s mens basketball program for two full months, but he’s already got three scholarship commitments to his team. The latest player to sign a letter of intent is Terran Petteway, who is transferring to Nebraska after playing his freshman season at Texas Tech this past year. Petteway, a 6’6” wing, saw action in 28 games last year for the Red Raiders, averaging 3.1 points per game in 13 minutes per contest off the bench. He was rated as the tenth best high school player in Texas after his senior year at Ball High School in Galveston by TexasHoops.com. Petteway joins JuCo transfer Deverell Biggs and prep school big man Sergej Vucetic as Miles’ inagural signing class. Petteway will be required to sit out the entire 2012-2013 season, per NCAA transfer rules.
