The Husker baseball team was blown out in their final home game of the regular season, as visiting Wichita State jumped out in front early and never looked back in a 13-2 victory. The Shockers scored twice in the first inning and four times in the third inning, and stayed on the gas pedal on their way to banging out nineteen hits against six different Husker hurlers. Starting pitcher Zach Hirsch took the loss for the Big Red, allowing a pair of runs in his two innings of work. Nebraska managed nine hits on the evening, but only one went for extra bases. Michael Pritchard and Josh Scheffert each had an RBI in the game. The Huskers drop to 32-20 overall with the loss. They conclude their regular season with a trip to Ann Arbor for a three-game Big Ten Conference Series against Michigan, with game one set for Friday night.
