Tulo Homers as Rockies Snap Skid

The embattled Colorado Rockies snapped a six-game losing skid last night with an 8-4 win over the Miami Marlins. In the first two games of their three game series in Miami, the Rockies took big early leads only to watch them slip away. Last night the script was flipped, as the Marlins took a 3-0 lead after two innings, only to see the Rockies score three times in the fourth to tie the game. Miami regained the lead with a run in their half of the fourth, but in the fifth the Rockies got an RBI single by Carlos Gonzalez and a three-run homer from Troy Tulowitzki to take the lead for good. Tulowitzki drove in four runs in total, giving him seven for the series. Alex White worked six strong innings for his first victory of the season. The Rockies are off today, traveling to Cincinnati, where they’ll open a weekend series against the Reds on Friday night.
