Task Force Operation Leads to Drug Arrest

CAUDILLO, NICHOLLE CATHLEEN - Distribution of Methamphetamine (2)

(North Platte, NE)- A Joint Operation involving members of the Cooperative Operation for Drug Enforcement (CODE) Drug Task Force led to the arrest of one individual. Nicholle Caudillo, 23, of North Platte was arrested on Tuesday on two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine, a class two felony. The arrest was due to a joint investigation which began in August of 2011.

DEMI ISN’T A PICKY DATER: Demi Lovato told Cosmopolitan magazine about her dating qualifications. She said, “I don’t have many deal breakers. DURAN DURAN RELEASING DVD: Duran Duran’s A Diamond In The Mind will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and CD on July 10. The film was recorded at Manchester’s MEN Arena in December of 2011 and was shot in high definition. This will be the band’s first release in almost a decade. It will feature classic hits along with new tracks taken from All You Need Is Now.

ADELE TO HIT NETWORK TV: NBC will reportedly air an hour-long special with AdeleMatt Lauer will interview the British singer on June 5. Adele Live in London with Matt Lauer will be an exclusive interview as well as clips from Adele’s Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

PARIS HILTON REPORTEDLY SINGLE: Paris Hilton is reportedly single again. PerezHilton.comreported that DJ Afrojack broke things off with the heiress because they got serious too quickly. A source explained, “Paris was smitten with him, but Afrojack just wanted to have fun and not be exclusive with anyone. He is on the road practically every day performing in clubs all over the world, and he just isn’t ready to settle down, whereas Paris is.” MARY-KATE OLSEN DATING SARKOZY BRO? Mary-Kate Olsen is reportedly dating Olivier Sarkozy — the half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy. The New York Post reported that 25-year-old Olsen and 42-year-old Sarkozy are “head over heels” for one another. The two have reportedly been seeing each other for about a month and were spotted in the Hamptons over Memorial Day weekend.

DANIEL CRAIG’S EX REPORTEDLY HOOKS UP WITH ‘SATC’ HOTTIE: Daniel Craig’s ex-fiance Satsuki Mitchell has reportedly moved on with Sex and the City hunk Jason Lewis. Craig and Mitchell had been together for seven years when they suddenly split in 2010 — reportedly because he fell for his now-wife Rachel Weisz, whom he married in 2011. Now the New York Post reported that Mitchell and Lewis spent Memorial Day weekend together in Hawaii.

EMMA ROBERTS AND CHORD OVERSTREET SPLIT: Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet have reportedly called it quits — again. The pair recently reunited after a breakup, but apparently things didn’t go any better the second time around. A source told PerezHilton.com, “They’re done. The last few weeks have been really rough.” It’s unclear what exactly went wrong between the young stars.

TALK SHOW HOSTS WANT JOHN TRAVOLTA: John Travolta is reportedly a hot commodity — for TV hosts. PopEater.com reported that top television talent like Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters, Matt Lauerand Katie Couric are all seeking an interview with Travolta in the wake of his gay sexual harassment scandal. A source told the site, “John is literally the most wanted person in the world right now. Everyone wants him, and he can literally pick who he wants to sit down with, if he decides to ever tell his side of the story at all.” Although it’s unclear whether or not John will sit down with anyone, one publicist noted, “Eventually, even if all the legal problems go away, John will have to say something or else this will follow him for the rest of his life.”

 TIM DALY LEAVING ‘PRIVATE PRACTICE’: Tim Daly is leaving the show Private Practice. The actor broke the news on Twitter, writing, “Wonderful fans of PPP. Shonda informed my agent today that Pete won’t be returning for season 6. It was a great 5 yrs. R.I.P. Pete Wilder.” It’s unclear if his character will return at all to wrap up his storyline.

ANDIE MACDOWELL LANDS HALLMARK SERIES: Andie MacDowell will star in the Hallmark Channel’s first ever prime-time series. The actress will play municipal court Judge Olivia Lockhart in the program called Cedar Grove. It will start with a two-hour movie airing later this year and continue with a 13-episode series early in 2013. The show is based on books by author Debbie Macomber.

CarGo’s Three Homers Lead Rox Past Astros (LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT on ESPN Radio 1410)

Carlos Gonzalez homered three times, and Michael Cuddyer and Dexter Fowler also left the building as the Colorado Rockies defeated the Houston Astros 13-5 at Coors Field last night. It’s the third straight win for the Rockies, the first time they’ve done that since April 20. Cuddyer got things started for the Rockies with a grand-slam in the first inning. After the Astros battled back to tie the score at 5, Gonzalez homered to lead off the fifth. Fowler’s three-run homer and Gonzalez’s two-run jack highlighted a six-run sixth inning that broke the game open. CarGo’s third homer was a solo shot in the eighth inning. The Rockies and Astros wrap up their four-game series in Denver tonight, with the Rockies going for their first sweep of the season. ESPN Radio 1410 has all the action, with pregame coverage starting at 7:05 and the first pitch at 7:40.

First Nationals Pound Norfolk in Doubleheader Sweep

The North Platte First Nationals seniors swept a doubleheader from visiting Norfolk at Bill Wood Field last night. In the opener, the First Nationals scored early and often and Kade Folchert allowed just two unearned runs in a 19-2 rout. The nightcap saw the hit parade continue as the seniors won by an 11-1 tally. The sweep moves the First Nationals to 7-4 on the season. They play a double-dip at Laramie, Wyoming on Friday.

University Computer Hacker Identified

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The University of Nebraska says it has identified a person who may have hacked into a database containing personal data on students, alumni, parents and university employees. UNL Police Chief Owen Yardley says Wednesday that officials seized computers and other equipment belonging to an undergraduate student. The equipment is undergoing analysis by law enforcement. Yardley says the person’s name won’t be released until an arrest is made. Yardley says the individual was identified by through IP addresses, or unique numbers assigned to each computer, used to access the system. The university announced last Friday that someone reached the database of more than 650,000 records. Officials said there was no evidence the information was downloaded.

Cassel to be Sworn In as Newest NE Supreme Court Judge Next Week

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The newest member of the Nebraska Supreme Court will be sworn in next week. The court says a ceremony for 56-year-old William Cassel, of O’Neill, is on Monday at the Capitol in Lincoln. Gov. Dave Heineman appointed Cassel to the high court in April. Cassel, who served on the Nebraska Court of Appeals since 2003, replaces Justice John Gerrard, who left the Supreme Court for an appointment as a federal judge. Cassel spent 12 years as a district court judge, and worked as a private-private attorney in Ainsworth from 1979 to 1992. He will serve as the justice from the Supreme Court’s third district in eastern Nebraska, which includes 19 counties and parts of Douglas and Sarpy counties around Omaha.

Dennard Pleads Not Guilty on Assault Charge

One day after signing his first professional contract, former Husker defensive back Alfonzo Dennard filed a not guilty plea to a charge of third-degree assault of a police officer. Dennard was arrested after an altercation outside a Lincoln bar in the early morning hours of April 21, one week before the NFL Draft. The incident damaged Dennard’s draft stock, and he fell to the seventh round, where he was selected by the New England Patriots.
