Rockies Lose Fourth Straight (LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT on ESPN Radio 1410)

The Colorado Rockies losing streak is at four games after a 3-2 loss to the San Diego Padres in San Diego last night in the first game of the Rockies’ eight-game road trip. Rockies starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz continued the trend of starters exiting early, though his exit was not due to poor performance but due to getting hit with a line drive in the right leg in the second inning. Pomeranz departed after allowing three runs in three innings when his leg stiffened, but he did produce one highlight, hitting his first big league home run in the top of the third. Carlos Gonzalez also drove in a run for the Rox in the loss. The Rockies and Padres are back at it again tonight, with Alex White set to make his first start of the season on the mound for Colorado. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action, with pregame coverage at 8:30 and first pitch at 9:05.
