A lawsuit filed against the National Football League by Denver Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams has been dismissed, making it likely that Williams’ six-game suspension will stand. Williams was suspended after being found to be in violation of the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy. The veteran Bronco, who has started at linebacker for the Broncos in each of his eight NFL seasons, claimed a chain-of-custody error in the drug test process led to a wrongful positive test. A U.S. District Court judge dismissed his lawsuit yesterday.
