The Denver Broncos and kicker Matt Prater agreed to a four-year contract worth $13 million yesterday. Prater had been designated the Broncos’ franchise player this offseason, giving him and the organization time to work out a deal. Prater connected on 19 of 25 field goal attempts in 2011, including game-winning kicks on the final play of the game in three consecutive weeks. He also led the league in touchback percentage on kickoffs. The contract also includes a $3 million signing bonus.
