The Colorado Rockies will be looking to make some deals prior to the July 31 trading deadline. Reports out of New York suggest the Mets have interest in Rockies catcher Ramon Hernandez. Hernandez has been on the disabled list with a hand injury since May 25, and the efforts of Wilin Rosario and Wil Nieves have made the 36 year-old Hernandez expendable. The Rockies could receive prospects in return, as well as some salary relief on the over $4.5 million they still owe Hernandez for this season and next.
