NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded $123,000 to a Nebraska community
college to buy distance-learning equipment for use in rural parts of the state.
The money will pay for video teleconferencing equipment to connect Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte with its affiliated campuses in an 18-county area.The equipment will be installed at campus locations in Broken Bow, Ogallala and Broken Bow. The equipment will allow the college to expand its dual high school college credit program and other courses.
