Actress Kristin Chenoweth “Knocked Out Cold”

Actress Kristin Chenoweth was hospitalized Wednesday after getting smacked by falling lighting equipment on the Brooklyn set of the CBS drama “The Good Wife.”

Chenoweth, 43, was “knocked out cold” after getting hit “square in the head. I thought she was dead at first,” the witness said, adding that she slammed her head on concrete during her fall.

“That area is a vortex for wind … and a big gust of wind blew the lighting off the scaffolding,” the witness added.

An FDNY spokesman told The Daily News paramedics responded to North 6th St. and Kent Ave. in Williamsburg about 5:05 p.m. after receiving a report that a woman was hit by scaffolding.

The spokesman did not identify the victim by name, but said she was transported to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries.
“The Good Wife” star Josh Charles was spotted rushing into the hospital Wednesday night.
Chenoweth’s publicist and manager did not return requests for comment. Calls to CBS reps also went unreturned.

A Bellevue hospital spokeswoman confirmed that Chenoweth — who has won an Emmy and Tony award — was receiving treatment there.
