Husker Baseball Snags Commitment From JuCo Reliever

The Husker baseball program has secured a commitment from a pitcher who will be expected to close games next season. Josh Roeder, who played at Louisburg College his freshman year, was a dominant JuCo closer last year, posting 13 saves, a 2.06 ERA, and 50 strikeouts in 39 and one-third innings. The right-hander will have three years of eligibility at Nebraska. He fills the void created by Travis Huber. Last year’s closer for the Huskers signed with the Minnesota Twins last week.
