Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth film in the animated Ice Age series and the first in 3-D, opened in first place at the weekend box office. The lastest installment follows woolly mammoth Manny and his pre-historic friends as their world changes after Scrat’s careless pursuit of an acorn goes wrong. The film features the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Aziz Ansari, Peter Dinklage and Jennifer Lopez.
- Last week’s top movie, the Spider-Man reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man, fell to second place.
