KATY PERRY AND RUSSELL BRAND OFFICIALLY DIVORCED: Katy Perry and Russell Brand are officially no longer a married couple. According to E!, the court-sanctioned end to the marriage happened on Monday (July 16).

JENNIFER LOPEZ HEADED BACK TO MOVIES?: Jennifer Lopez may have finished her stint onAmerican Idol for good — but that doesn’t mean she has all the time in the world. The entertainer is currently co-headlining a tour with Enrique Iglesias — but she did admit to the Huffington Post that she’d love to get back into movies sometime soon. She said, “I do miss doing films. I feel like the last two years with `Idol,’ I’ve really, really focused on, you know, my music. … It was all kind of very synergistic, it worked really well together. But film is something that I really loved, it’s how I kind of started in this business, and it doesn’t leave you. I am an actress, I need to do that, too.”

NEW ‘BACHELOR PAD’ ROMANCE? Bachelorette reject Kalon McMahon has reportedly managed to find love through the show — just not with Emily Maynard. Kalon landed on Bachelor Pad 3 after getting dumped, where he’s reportedly dating Lindzi Cox, the runner-up from Ben Flajnik’s season. GossipCop.com reported that the two are “pretty much” a couple.

UMA THURMAN WELCOMES DAUGHTER: Uma Thurman is a mom for the third time. The 42-year-old actress welcomed a baby girl on Sunday (July 15th) with her longtime boyfriend Arpad Busson. The actress already has a daughter Maya, 14, and son Levon, 10, with ex-husband Ethan Hawke. Busson has two sons with his ex-fiance Elle MacPherson.

‘NEWSROOM’ COSTARS ARE DATING: There’s a romance brewing on the set of Newsroom. The New York Post reported that Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy and Thomas Matthews have started dating since production began. They were recently spotted holding hands at a benefit party in NYC.

‘SKY KIDS’ STAR DIVORCING: Spy Kids star Alexa Vega is getting divorced. The 23-year-old former child actress is pulling the plug on her marriage to producer Sean Covel after less than two years of marriage. Covel, who worked on Napoleon Dynamite, is 13 years her senior.

‘BREAKING BAD’ PREMIERE BREAKS RECORDS: The fifth season premiere ofBreaking Bad was the most-watched episode in the history of the series. 2.9 million people tuned in on Sunday night — marking a 34% increase in the all-important 18-49 demo over last year’s premiere. 3.5 million people then viewed the night’s repeat episode.

‘IDOL’ ONLY LOOKING FOR ONE-YEAR JUDGES: American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe said that he is not looking for long-term judges to fill the vacant seats on Idol, explaining that like was the case for Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler — it’s hard to uproot a major star. He told Ryan Seacrest on Monday, “[T]here are so many names coming at me at the moment. I joke about it and say, ‘Oh, I’m looking for the Three Stooges or Jerry Lewis.’ But at the end of the day, I think what we’ve seriously got to talk about is just using people for a year…If we do want these big stars, and we do, you cannot take them away from what they do. That’s depriving the public of a star for a start and stopping them from earning a lot of money.”

CHARLIE SHEEN DONATING $1 MILLION TO U.S.O: Charlie Sheen is donating $1 million to the U.S.O (United Service Org.) — marking the largest single contribution the USO has ever received from an individual. The actor said he will donate 1 percent of the profits from his Anger Management earnings to the organization, with a minimum of $1 million and an unlimited cap. He explained in a statement, “It’s an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us. They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I’m just happy that my work on Anger Management can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.”

‘GMA’ OFFICIALLY BEATS ‘TODAY’: The official numbers are in and Good Morning America squarely beat Today during Savannah Guthrie’s debut week on NBC. Nielsen confirmed that GMA beat its rival by 357,000 viewers.
