Lori Ann Dougherty

Lori Ann Dougherty, 43, of Cozad, NE formerly of North Platte, NE died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Cozad.

Lori was born February 2, 1969, to Harlan Harold and Shirley Ann Floro Herrick at North Platte where she grew up. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1988. Lori worked for Social Services before going to work with the North Platte Opportunity Center. She worked there until 2007 when she entered the Golden Living Center in Cozad.

Lori was a member of the North Platte Berean Church. She enjoyed her family, books, movies, chocolates and root beer to the very end. She liked to read and play Bingo at the nursing home. Lori was always a very positive person.

Lori is survived by her father, Harlan Herrick, of North Platte; four sisters, Donna (Mike) Coleman, of Hershey, NE, Sharon (David) Christensen, of Papillion, NE, Deborah (Robert) Bostwick and Cindy (Perry) Hall, of North Platte; three brothers, Harlan Lee Herrick, Daniel (Jacque) Herrick and Randy Herrick, all of North Platte; a son, Dylan Kenney, of Council Bluffs, IA; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and other family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Herrick; and her grandparents, Lee and Mae Herrick and Alpha and Doc Floro.

Funeral service will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the North Platte Berean Church with Pastor John Stone officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice Room at the Golden Living Center in Cozad. Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore.
