Man videotapes woman showering, woman find footage on his computer

KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) — Trial is set for a Kearney man suspected of videotaping a woman taking a shower.

The 25-year-old Anthony Quintana is charged in Buffalo County District Court with felony unlawful intrusion. His trial is set for Aug. 6.

Quintana has waived his right to a jury trial, and his case will be heard by a judge.

Quintana allegedly videotaped the woman showering at his home in August 2011. Officials say the woman in March gave police a copy of the video and a picture that came from Quintana’s computer.

Quintana faces up to five years in prison if convicted.

Rox Walk-Off On Rainy Night At Coors (LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT on ESPN Radio 1410)

A long, wild and wet ninth inning ultimately produced a walk-off victory for the Colorado Rockies. Dexter Fowler’s sac fly delivered the winning run in a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Coors Field. The Rockies led 4-1 heading into the ninth. With one out and two Pirates on base, the game was delayed because of rain. On the first pitch after the 53-minute delay, Pittsburgh’s Pedro Alvarez hit a game-tying three run homer off Rockies reliever Rex Brothers. In the bottom of the ninth, singles by Wilin Rosario and Jason Giambi set the stage for Fowler, whose drive to center field was deep enough to score Rosario with the winning run. Eric Young Jr. hit a two-run double to key a four-run fifth for the Rockies. The Rockies and Pirates play game two of their series tonight. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action, with pregame coverage at 7:05 and the first pitch at 7:40.

Long, Steinkuhler Each Make Lombardi Award Watch List

A pair of Husker football teammates will be in competition for a second national award this season. After being named to the Outland Trophy watch list last week, junior guard Spencer Long and senior defensive tackle Baker Steinkuhler were both selected as part of the watch list for the Lombardi Award yesterday. The Lombardi Award is given annually to the nation’s best lineman. It has a long history of finding a home in Lincoln, including taking up prior residence in the Steinkuhler household. Baker’s father, Dean, won the award in 1983. He’s one of five Huskers to have won the honor, the last being Ndamukong Suh in 2009. Long was a second-team All-Big Ten pick at guard last season, while Steinkuhler has been an honorable mention all-conference performer each of the last two seasons.

Rockies Injury Woes – Nicasio Out For Year, Nelson Out With Irregular Heartbeat

If it weren’t for bad luck, Juan Nicasio wouldn’t have any luck at all. The Colorado Rockies right-handed pitcher is out for the rest of the season after having microfracture surgery on his left knee yesterday. Nicasio injured the knee on June 2 and had been on the disabled list since. He had tried to come back from the injury but fluid kept building up in the knee. The surgical procedure removed four bone chips. It’s the second straight season the 25 year-old Nicasio has lost prematurely due to injury. He suffered a broken neck and a concussion when he was hit with a line drive last July, cutting short his promising rookie campaign. The Rockies also had a health scare yesterday with infielder Chris Nelson, who was admitted to a Denver hospital and underwent tests for an irregular heartbeat. Nelson remained in the hospital overnight.

Team USA Stumbles Through Win Over Brazil

WASHINGTON (AP) — LeBron James scored 30 points and the U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team rallied from an early 10-point deficit to beat Brazil 80-69 on Monday night.

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden watched the Americans get off to a dismal start, then turn it around by holding the Brazilians to two baskets in the second quarter.

James helped the U.S. pull away in the final four minutes after they led by only seven, getting his final point on a free throw with 31 seconds left as Obama departed.

Kevin Durant added 11 in his hometown for the Americans, who will leave Tuesday for Europe to complete their Olympic preparations. They face Britain in Manchester, England on Thursday before traveling to Barcelona to play Argentina and Spain.

It’s a solid exhibition schedule, and this game showed the Americans have some work to do before they get to London.

Details of Incident That Lead to Bronco Star Dumervil’s Arrest Revealed

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Police say a road rage incident in Miami Beach led to the arrest of Denver Broncos defensive tight end Elvis Dumervil.

A police report released Monday says the 28-year-old Dumervil and another man, Andy Aguste, were stuck in traffic Saturday evening. It said they got into an argument with another driver, Kristine Ramirez, and the two men displayed weapons.

When police arrived Dumervil told them he didn’t have a gun. Officers say they found a gun in the car’s glove compartment.

Dumervil was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He bonded out of jail. Attorney Harvey Steinberg says he expects authorities to clear his client after they conclude their investigation.

Aguste was also charged with aggravated assault.

Sylvester Stallone asks for compassion

Two days after his 36-year-old son Sage was found dead, Sylvester Stallone released a statement to the public asking for sensitivity. “When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha,” the 66-year-old actor told TMZ Sunday night. “This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives,” Stallone said. “Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son’s memory and soul left in peace.”

He also called for an end to “the speculation and questionable reporting” surrounding Sage’s death. Reports circulating on Friday and over the weekend had blamed his death on prescription pills, speculated suicide, and had stated that he been dead anywhere from three to seven days prior to his body being discovered in his Los Angeles area home by a housekeeper on July 13, though initial reports said the police had been called to do a welfare check after Sage had not been heard from for some time.

An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, but the outcome will not be released until the results of the toxicology tests are received.

“We don’t know what the circumstances are around it,” Sage’s attorney George Braunstein told NBC Los Angeles on Sunday. “He was in good health, great spirits. He was thinking of getting married, working on a lot of film projects.”

The identity of the girlfriend attorney Braunstein is referring to is not known, but Sage was previously married to a woman named Starlin Wright. The marriage ended in 2008 after a year.

Sage — who played the son of his dad’s iconic character, Rocky Balboa, in the 1990 film “Rocky V” — was Stallone’s eldest son and one of two children he had with first wife Sasha Czack, whom he split with in 1985 after 11 years of marriage. Stallone went on to have three daughters with his current wife, Jennifer Flavin.
