Rosalie Agnes McAndrews


Rosalie Agnes McAndrews, 92, of Sutherland formerly of Omaha, died Aug. 1, 2012, at the Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1919, to John and Martha Harvey of Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Rosalie was married to Donald McAndrews in Missouri Valley, Iowa, on Aug 3, 1938. They later moved to Omaha and raised three children.
For 48 years Rosalie sold shoes on the second floor of J L Brandeis Dept. Store in Omaha and worked an additional 12 years for Younkers. She retired at the age of 79. Selling shoes was her passion in life. Many customers have long remembered her.
She was preceded in death by husband, Donald; son, Michael; father and mother; three brothers: Jack, Richard and Donnie Harvey; and sister, Parrilee (Harvey) Cooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Earl) Jones, of Sutherland; son, Gerald (Jackie) McAndrews, of Waukesha, Wis.; grandchildren, Steven (Kerri) Jones, of Belgrade, Mont., Scott (Beth) Jones, of Mullen, Judy (Brian) Lusk, of North Platte, Brian McAndrews, of West Bend, Wis., Christie McAndrews, of Naples, Fla., Shannon (Dane) Livermore, of Blair; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, at the Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler’s West Center Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Omaha. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Omaha.
Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, is in charge of arrangements.
